Fans, who attended largely at the stadium in Güstrow, witnessed a passionate and exciting show. Meeting was at a top-notch level and ultimately it was Artem Laguta getting the first position with 15 points gathered.

- I'm really happy with my performance. It's my first win in SEC series, so this joy is even bigger - Russian said.

Younger of Laguta brothers presented solid racing on the track in Güstrow, proved by his 4 individual heat wins and the best time of the day. In heat no.4, Laguta made 4 laps in 57,70 sec.

- This track suits me. I was well adjusted from the very beginning. Heats weren't easy, though. Every rider was giving 100%, thanks to which, fans could watch a great show - Russian added.

Laguta got a direct promotion to the final after the main series and it was him, who was choosing the starting gate as first. Russian chose the red helmet, however as he admits, he was waiting for the results of race-off heat, to see how would riders do from particular gates.

- I was watching Krzysztof Kasprzak's start, considering white helmet, however after a deeper thought, I decided to pick the one close to the inside line. It was a good move - Laguta admits.

In the final heat, Laguta clashed with Andzejs Lebedevs, Krzysztof Kasprzak and Vaclav Milik. First corner here was crucial. Laguta made use of Lebedevs' mistake and went right through for his first triumph in the history of Speedway Euro Championship.

- Andzejs made a mistake. He got a bit too wide at the corner and there was nothing more left for me than took advantage of it - Laguta ended.
