Small city means big speedway 8 years ago | 27.04.2017, 09:18
Small city means big speedway

Huge sport in a small city? It's possible. MC Güstrow has proved that a size of a speedway center doesn't matter when it comes to organizing meetings at the top level.

Since 2014, club from Güstrow has been proving that big things are also available in small cities. After a very successful, at both organizing and sport level, rounds of Speedway Best Pairs 2015 and Speedway Euro Championship in 2014 and 2016, fight for the top European spot stays in hands of the club led by Torsten Jürn.

- I wanted to thank One Sport company for brining huge speedway to a small club, in a small city like Güstrow. I hope that our good relations will continue in upcoming years - Torsten Jürn, chairman of the MC Güstrow said.

German round of the SEC tournament is not only a guarantee of emotions at the track, but also an incredible atmosphere at the full packed stands. It's not a coincidence that in this season, except the SEC round, at the modernized stadium of the German club, one of the rounds of FIM U21 World Championship will be held as well.

Calendar for Güstrow goes as below:

15.07.2017 – 2nd round of Speedway Euro Championship

08.09.2017 – 2nd round of FIM Speedway Under 21 World Championship

General classification of SEC in Güstrow in previous years:

SEC 2014: 1. N. Pedersen, 2. P. Kildemand, 3. J. Kołodziej, 4. T. Gollob

SEC 2016: 1. M. Vaculik, 2. K. Kasprzak, 3. K. Huckenbeck, 4. J. Kołodziej
