Zagar’s triumph. Holder fifth

Matej Zagar had his first win in Individual World Championships. Third tournament of the series took place in Tampere, Finland. Representative of Australia in Speedway Best Pairs Cup, Chris Holder was fifth.

The event, which was organized on “one – day” track, wasn’t much interesting. Generally the results of the heat were known after the first bend. After two worse tournaments, finally Tai Woffinden presented better disposition, who scored 16 points. Although Krzysztof Kasprzak didn’t take part in the tournament he is still the leader of the series.

Not very good score had Darcy Ward, who came back after the injury. Australian scored 8 points in five heats. However he didn’t manage to win any heat and he didn’t qualify for the semis.

Results:

5. Chris Holder (Australia) - 10 (3,3,2,2,0,d)
6. Nicki Pedersen (Denmark) - 10 (1,3,2,1,3,0)
8. Martin Smolinski (Germany) - 9 (1,3,0,2,2,1)
9. Darcy Ward (Australia) - 8 (1,2,1,2,2)
10. Andreas Jonsson (Sweden) - 7 (2,3,0,1,1)
11. Jarosław Hampel (Poland) - 7 (1,1,3,1,1)
12. Niels Kristian Iversen (Denmark) - 6 (0,0,2,2,2)
